Our Worship & Creative Arts Department hosts seasonal art exhibits highlighting and celebrating Grace Center’s visual artists and their work. Join us as we partner with God in cultivating community around the arts and encouraging creativity within our community. You are invited to view our upcoming exhibition, Peaks + Valleys, featuring artist Amanda Van De Sompele, which opens with a reception between first and second services in Grace Cafe on January 12. About the Collection
Peaks + Valleys is an investigative process I’ve been working on as I have simply decided to give the Lord my undivided “YES” in creativity and how that journey mirrors the different peaks and valleys we experience as we continue to give our “YES” to the Lord in our lives.
There are so many different layers that we experience in our life and in our “YES” to the Lord—this collection is the picture of what a “YES” can look like through the highs and lows.

I am a recently born-again artist. Reacquainting myself with the truth that art is play.
I have always found myself drawn to forgiving mediums where the opportunity for layers, corrections and reimagining is possible.
I hold a personal conviction that all colors are neutral— I love the drama and emotion I experience as unlikely colors find themselves together in the same piece and the ways it provokes me to be curious.
I find myself inspired by the risk of painting in layers and allowing the under painting to whisper its own story.
